My name is Godslove Asare Boateng, I am currently studying Biochemistry at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. When I started my degree I planned on becoming a medical lawyer. Having studied more biotechnology, I am also considering a job in this field. It is hard to chose, I wish I could do both!

I believe Ghana needs more biochemists because as the use of GMOs and biotechnology gradually takes over, Ghana needs more professionals with such expertise to handle the rising demand and supply.

I am currently working on a project with the Alliance for Science Ghana to help commercialize some genetically modified crops such as Bt cotton (a genetically modified cotton variety which produces an insecticide to bollworm).

I also work as a research journalist my free time I love to write as well. It really allows me to lose myself and gives me the opportunity to be whoever I want to be. It is my passion.
